Italian Appetizer (Antipasti) Recipes - Parma Ham, Cheese and Melon Gingers (Prosciutto di Pama, Formaggio e Fette dio Melone) Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe melon, rind and seeds removed

  • 225 g/8 oz Gorgonzola cheese

  • 175 g/6 oz Parma ham, thinly sliced

  • 15 g/1/2 oz/1 tbsp butter, softened

  • 1 Rosemary Focaccia loaf

  • Butter

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp snipped fresh chives


Method:

  1. Cut the melon and cheese into narrow fingers. Place a piece of each on a slice of Parma ham and roll up tightly.

  2. Secure with a cocktail stick (toothpick) and place on thinly sliced buttered Focaccia. Sprinkle with the chives.
