Italian Desserts Recipes - Caramelized Nectarines (Nettarine Caramellate) Recipe

Ingredients

  • 250 ml/1 cup water

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp clear honey

  • 30 ml/2 tbsp light brown sugar

  • 6 fresh nectarines

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp Grand Marnier

  • Whipped cream, to serve (optional)


Method:

  1. Pour the water, honey and brown sugar into a saucepan and bring slowly to the boil.

  2. Add the nectarines and poach for 5 minutes. Transfer to a serving dish with a draining spoon.

  3. Pour the Grand Marnier into the saucepan and boil for 3 minutes.

  4. Pour over the nectarines and serve hot or cold with whipped cream if liked.
