Ingredients
Method:

Pour the lemon juice into a dish. Peel, core and
slice the apples into rings and place them in
the lemon juice ensuring that all surfaces are
coated.

This helps to prevent the apples turning brown.
Melt the butter in a frying pan (skillet) and
fry (sauté) the apples.

Arrange the apples in a flat flameproof dish.
Place under a hot grill (broiler) for 2 minutes
until they are tinged with brown.

Sprinkle over the dark brown sugar and replace
under the grill until the sugar caramelizes.
Allow to cool, then chill before serving.
