Chicken with Apples and Lemon Sauce (Pollo con Mele e
Salmoriglio) Recipe
Ingredients
-
3 apples, cored and
quartered
-
30 ml/2 tbsp lemon juice
-
4 skinless chicken breasts
-
30 ml/2 tbsp olive oil
-
30 ml/2 tbsp honey
-
45 ml/3 tbsp water
-
5 ml/1 tsp ground cinnamon
-
1 quantity Lemon Sauce
Method:
-
Put the apples in a bowl with
the lemon juice. Fry (sauté) the chicken in the
olive oil for 6 minutes on each side and place in an
ovenproof dish.

Add the apples to the chicken
and pour over the honey and water.
-
Sprinkle with the cinnamon and
place in a preheated oven at 180C/350F/gas mark 4
for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through Cooking.
Serve with Lemon Sauce.
