Minced Beef Crumble (Sbriciolato di Carne Tritata)

Ingredients

450 g/1lb/4 cups
minced (ground) beef

1 onion,
chopped
-
175 g/6 oz/1lb cups plain (all-purpose) flour

4 large tomatoes,
skinned and chopped
-
2.5 ml/1/2 tsp dry mustard

Salt and freshly
ground black pepper

75 g/3 oz/1/3 cup margarine
Method:

Place the beef in a saucepan with the onion and
cook, stirring for 5 minutes. Sprinkle over 15 ml/1
tbsp flour and add the chopped tomatoes.

Stir well
and cook for 1 minute. Place in a greased pie dish.
Put the remaining flour, mustard, salt and pepper in
a large bowl and rub in the margarine.

Sprinkle the
mixture over the beef and bake in a preheated oven
at 200°C/400°F/ gas mark 6 for 35 minutes until the
topping is golden brown.
