Fettuccine with
Cream (Fettuccine con Panna) Recipe
Ingredients

1.2litres/2 pts/5
cups water
-
10 ml/2 tsp salt
-
350 g/12 oz fettuccine
-
25 g/1 oz/2 tbsp
unsalted (sweet) butter
-
250 ml/8 fl oz/1 cup double
(heavy) cream
-
100 g/4 oz/1 cup
Parmesan cheese, grated

Freshly ground
black pepper
Method:
-
Bring a pan of salted
water to the boil and drop the fettuccine into the
water.

Reduce the heat to simmering and cook the
fettuccine for 7-8 minutes until tender but still
firm.

Remove from the heat and drain well. Transfer
to a warm serving dish.

Warm the butter, cream,
cheese and pepper in a saucepan for 1 minute and
pour over the fettuccine. Toss and add more
seasoning if required.
