Sausage and Pasta
Shells (Salsicce e Conchiglie) Recipe
Ingredients

10 ml/2 tsp olive
oil
-
75 g/3 oz fresh or
frozen peas
-
225 g/8 oz garlic
sausage, skinned and cubed
-
1 red (bell)
pepper, cut into strips
-
1 green (bell)
pepper, cut into strips
-
175 g/6 oz large pasta
shells
-
150 ml/2/3
cup single (light) cream
-
30 ml/2 tbsp
chopped fresh basil
-
Salt and freshly
ground black pepper
Method:
-
Heat the oil and add
the peas, diced sausage and red and green peppers
and cook for 5 minutes.

Bring a large pan of salted
water to the boil. Cook the pasta until tender and
drain.

Return the pasta to the pan and stir in the
cream with the peas, sausage and peppers. Toss over
a gentle heat until piping hot.

Transfer to a warmed
dish. Sprinkle over the basil and season with salt
and pepper.
