Italian Pasta Recipes - Spaghetti with Garlic Butter (Spaghetti con Burro all' Aglio) Recipe

Ingredients                 

  • 75g/3 oz/1/3 cup unsalted (sweet) butter

  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed

  • 90 ml/6 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

  • 350 g/12 oz spaghetti

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • 75 g/3 oz/3/4 cup Pecorino cheese, grated


Method:

  1. Melt the butter and add the garlic. Stir in the parsley and cook over a low heat for 2 minutes.

  2. Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water for 8-10 minutes until tender, but still firm. Drain.

  3. Toss the spaghetti in the garlic butter, season to taste with the salt and pepper and turn into a warmed serving dish.

  4. Serve sprinkled with the cheese.
