Anchovy Pizza
(Pizza alle Napoletana) Recipe
Ingredients

1 quantity Basic Pizza
Dough
-
100 ml/6 1/2
tbsp passata (sieved tomatoes)
-
50 g/2 oz button
mushrooms, sliced
-
100 g/4 oz
Mozzarella cheese, chopped
-
50g/1 small can anchovies,
drained and roughly chopped
-
30ml/2 tbsp olive oil
-
10ml/2 tsp capers
(optional)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Method:

Prepare the pizza dough. Spread the risen pizza
round with the passata to within 2 cm/3/4 in of the
edge all round.

Sprinkle the
cheese over and scatter with pieces of anchovy.
Drizzle with olive oil, scatter the capers over, if
using, and season with pepper.

Bake in a
preheated oven at 230C/450F/gas mark 8 for about
10-15 minutes until the edges are crisp and golden.
