Italian Snacks and Light Meals Recipes - Crab and Prawn Bread (Pane con Granchio e Gamberetti) Recipe

 

Ingredients

  • 150 g/5 oz crabmeat

  • 100 g/4 oz peeled prawns (shrimp)

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp mayonnaise

  • Grated rind of 1/2 lime

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 loaf of Sicilian Bread

  • 50 g/2 oz/1/4 cup butter


Method:

  1. Put the crabmeat in a bowl and break into flakes. Chop the prawns and add to the howl with the mayonnaise and grated lime rind.

  2. Season with the salt and pepper. Slice the bread thickly and spread with butter.

  3. Spread the crab and prawn mix thickly over the slices, sandwiching two together, and serve immediately.
