Crisp Herb Slices (Pane con Erbe)

Ingredients

75 g/3 oz/1/3 cup
butter

5 ml/1 tsp lemon
juice

5 ml/1 tsp chopped
fresh chervil

2.5 ml/1/2 tsp
chopped fresh sage

2.5 ml/1/2 tsp
chopped fresh thyme
-
2.5 ml/1/2 tsp chopped fresh
parsley

1 garlic clove,
crushed

12 thin slices
Sicilian Bread

Bagna Cauda
Method:

Cream the butter until soft and stir in the lemon
juice and herbs.

Beat in the garlic and spread the
butter over the bread slices.

Place on a baking
sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes in a preheated oven
at 180°C/350°F/gas mark 4 until golden brown and
crisp.

Remove from the oven and serve with Bagna
Cauda.
