Ingredients

  • 75 g/3 oz/1/3 cup butter

  • 5 ml/1 tsp lemon juice

  • 5 ml/1 tsp chopped fresh chervil

  • 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp chopped fresh sage

  • 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp chopped fresh thyme

  • 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp chopped fresh parsley

  • 1 garlic clove, crushed

  • 12 thin slices Sicilian Bread

  • Bagna Cauda


Method:

  1. Cream the butter until soft and stir in the lemon juice and herbs.

  2. Beat in the garlic and spread the butter over the bread slices.

  3. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°C/350°F/gas mark 4 until golden brown and crisp.

  4. Remove from the oven and serve with Bagna Cauda.
