Fried Vanilla Bread (Pane con Vaniglia)

Method:

Pour the milk and sugar into a bowl and stir. Add
the bread and allow to soak for 10 minutes.

Beat the
eggs and vanilla together in a shallow dish.
Carefully remove the slices from the milk and
transfer to the egg mixture.

Heat the butter in a
frying pan (skillet) and fry (sauté) each slice of
bread until brown on both sides.

Dust with icing
sugar if desired and serve with fresh apricots.
