Garlic, Ham and Tomato Slice (Oristano Crostini)

Ingredients

15 ml/1 tbsp olive oil

1 garlic clove, crushed

120 ml/4 fl oz/1/2 cup
passata (sieved tomatoes)

1 Italian Flat Bread loaf

4 slices cooked ham, cut
into small strips

4 black olives, stoned
(pitted) and chopped
Method:

Heat the oil and cook the garlic for 2 minutes. Add
the passata and cook uncovered for 5 minutes to
reduce the mixture.

Slice the bread into 8 pieces and spread one side
with the tomato mixture.

Place on a baking sheet and cook in a preheated oven
at 220°C/425°F/gas mark 7 for 8 minutes.

Remove from the oven and arrange the ham and olives
on the top before serving.
