Ingredients

4 beefsteak
tomatoes
-
50 g/2 oz/1/4 cup
unsalted (sweet) butter
-
Salt and freshly ground
black pepper

10 ml/2 tsp chopped fresh basil
Method:
-
Halve the tomatoes and place them in an
ovenproof dish. Melt the butter and brush over
the tomatoes.
-
Season with the salt and freshly
ground pepper. Grill (broil) for 2 minutes,
brush again with butter, grill for a further 2
minutes.
-
Sprinkle again with the pepper and
garnish with the basil.
