Italian Vegetable Dishes Recipes - Cabbage with Italian Sauce (Cavolo con Salsa all' Italiana) Recipe

Ingredients              

  • 30 ml/2 tbsp oil

  • 2 onions, chopped

  • 1 small cabbage, shredded

  • 5 ml/1 tsp paprika

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • 400 g/14 oz/1 large can chopped tomatoes


Method:

  1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan (skillet) and fry (sauté) the onions and cabbage together.

  2. Season to taste with the paprika, salt and pepper and stir in the tomatoes.

  3. Cover with a lid and simmer for 20 minutes and serve.
