Cheese Potatoes (Patate al Formaggio)

Ingredients

5 large potatoes,
scrubbed
-
75 ml/5 tbsp hot
milk
-
25 g/2 tbsp
unsalted (sweet) butter

Salt and freshly ground
black pepper

100 g/1 cup hard cheese, grated
Method:
-
Cook the potatoes in a large pan of boiling
water. Peel the cooked potatoes and, while still
very hot, cut into chunks and place in a large
bowl.

Add the milk, butter and seasoning and
mash together. Add the grated cheese and spoon
the mixture into an ovenproof dish.

Bake in a
preheated oven at 190°C/375°F/gas mark 5
for 20 minutes.
